About The Position

We are looking for a skilled manager with all-around automobile, heavy truck and trailer, gas and diesel mechanic skills. This person will be responsible for troubleshooting all issues and fixing them by aiming to maximum reliability and functionality. Also responsible for building and manufacturing plant HVAC, general fabrication equipment and experience in variable speed drives. Knowledge of Predictive Preventative Maintenance systems are required. The ability to serve all our teams in a professional manner is required. An excellent auto mechanic has good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. They are well-versed in complex mechanical or electronic systems of vehicles and have excellent problem-solving abilities. They must also be good communicators to provide service to your internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads and wheel bearings
  • Disassemble and reassemble components and engines
  • Use testing equipment to ensure that repairs and maintenance are effective
  • Identify mechanical problems, often by using diagnostic equipment
  • Test parts and systems to ensure that they are working properly.
  • Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, giving tune-ups, checking fluid levels, brake replacement and rotating tires
  • Explain to internal clients their automotive problems and the repairs done on their vehicles
  • Repair shop equipment: Industrial machinery (Metal Cutting Saws, MIG and TIG Electric and Gas-powered Welders, Steel Plate Rollers, Press Brakes, etc.), Aerial Lifts, Gas, Diesel and electric Fork-trucks
  • Perform all duties according to safety procedures documented in C&J Safety Program
  • Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
  • Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)
  • Keep logs on work and issues
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
