The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing a preventive maintenance program within an annual budget, overseeing the routine maintenance, installations, and repair of production lines, buildings, equipment, and grounds. This role involves preparing work schedules, assigning tasks, minimizing overtime, and ensuring that all maintenance is performed timely, accurately, and within budget with the assistance of maintenance staff. The manager will also coach, counsel, and manage the performance of direct reports, identify needs for and arrange third-party contractor support, and ensure all employees receive and maintain appropriate training. A key aspect of this role is ensuring the maximum safety level for all supervised workers by enforcing safety measures and identifying/resolving potential hazards. The position also requires ensuring the proper use of tools and equipment for various maintenance tasks, assisting less skilled workers, and performing hands-on maintenance work as requested by management, including equipment repair, part replacement, and performing PMs. Other duties as requested, directed, or assigned will also be part of the role.
