About The Position

Within our 300-person manufacturing facility in Allendale – Leprino is seeking Maintenance Manager to join our plants technical leadership team to continue moving our organization to even larger levels of food quality, reliability, and production efficiencies. Your main responsibilities include overseeing the maintenance & reliability programs, processes, and systems to ensure that plant performance exceeds company-wide expectations. For this position, you will report directly to the Plant Engineering Manager. Lead the maintenance function for the plant to assure adequate cost-effective utilities and power are provided along with the quality and quantity of maintenance support required to meet production needs. Prepare and monitor the department budget, direct the purchasing of spare parts and determine minimum inventory levels, initiates work orders, and reviews general plant equipment repairs. Participate in capital projects by assisting with project development, specifying controls and equipment, directing installation, and monitoring start-up, troubleshooting, and maintenance training for new systems. Requirements

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of overall experience in maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • At least four (4) years of progressive leadership experience, most recently serving at a manager-level
  • Extensive knowledge of equipment theory and history, electrical operations, advanced process controls, power generation, ammonia refrigeration, pneumatics, thermodynamics, welding, machining, food processing and sanitation, and maintenance scheduling
  • Experience and ability to support 24/7 manufacturing operation

Nice To Haves

  • College Degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance or related field, or similar work experience in related industry
  • Dairy/Cheese Manufacturing Experience Preferred
