About The Position

Manage all aspects of maintenance on production equipment and facilities. Drive uptime improvement efforts by implementing a preventive maintenance program and coordinating all corrective maintenance activities. Ensure that proper staffing, training, tools, and maintenance plans are in place to maximize equipment availability in the most cost-efficient manner.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years industrial maintenance experience in automotive industry
  • Hot stamping, sheet metal, robotic welding, material handling, laser cutting and shot blasting experience.
  • Experience with CMMS programs – preferably SAP PM.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Microsoft Office skills to include Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • A four-year college degree in Engineering or similar is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leadership and supervision of all members of the maintenance.
  • Responsible for ensuring safe work practices are always being utilized by the members of the maintenance department.
  • Ensure proper staffing.
  • Responsible for the maintenance annual budget.
  • Responsible for maximizing machine uptime on all production equipment.
  • Work closely with production management to schedule maintenance activities based on equipment, manpower, and spare parts availability.
  • Review all completed work orders and ensure items requiring follow up are acted upon appropriately and assist in tracking these actions required to completion.
  • Use a data driven approach to continuous improvement.
  • Assist in locating and purchasing materials required to complete maintenance activities.
  • Ensure that an appropriate inventory of spare parts is maintained.
  • Implement a proactive approach to maintenance including predictive maintenance activities such as infrared, vibration, and oil analysis.
  • Utilize the CMMS system for logging all maintenance activities and driving lessons learned.
  • Ensure all technical materials and training are available as required to support the maintenance technicians.
  • Assist with 8D and problem resolution for qualities issues related to equipment performance.
  • Participation in the Layered Process Audit schedule.
  • Participation in the Internal ISO 9001/IATF 16949 Audit schedule (applies only to certified ISO 9001/IATF 16949 internal auditors).
  • Participation and cooperation in answering questions and providing information for internal and external audits regarding or related to ISO 9001/IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and customer standards.
  • Any task deemed necessary by management.
