This is a hands-on Maintenance Manager position that will work in collaboration with property management to perform building maintenance functions and oversee the budget and vendor contracts for Roseland Place, an apartment community for seniors in Chicago. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Three (3) years of experience in skilled maintenance work.
Technical expertise in one or more building trade.
Legally operate a motor vehicle.

Perform basic math and understand measurement systems used in the trade.
Read and interpret electrical, plumbing, and mechanical diagrams and blueprints.
Draft working sketches.
Use maintenance, trade, and testing equipment and tools.
Effectively oversee work progress of vendors or outside contractors.
Legally operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

Patch and paint walls, trim, and ceilings.
Clean, repair, and maintain appliances.
Prepare units for new residents, including completing necessary turnover work.
Perform routine plumbing and electrical repairs.
Manage day-to-day maintenance functions.
Assist with maintenance budget oversight.
Coordinate and manage vendor contracts in collaboration with the property management team.
