About The Position

The Maintenance Manager is a hands-on role responsible for overseeing and executing maintenance activities at the Eaton, OH manufacturing facility. This position works side-by-side with one Maintenance Technician and is directly responsible for managing and maintaining the CMMS (UpKeep), coordinating preventive maintenance, reducing downtime, and ensuring equipment reliability. This role requires a working manager who actively performs troubleshooting and repairs while also organizing maintenance workflows, inventory, and maintenance data. The Maintenance Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations and may support additional Everlast Roofing locations as needed.

Requirements

  • Technical training or strong hands-on background in mechanical and electrical machinery
  • Previous maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with PLC controls
  • Experience with Photocell
  • Experience with Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Experience using and managing a CMMS system (UpKeep or similar strongly preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, and work orders
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools (micrometers, Vernier calipers, etc.)
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills, with the ability to track and report maintenance activity
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment
  • Comfortable functioning as both a working technician and maintenance lead
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary owner and administrator of the CMMS (UpKeep), ensuring accurate work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, asset records, and maintenance reporting
  • Plan, schedule, assign, and track maintenance work for a two-person maintenance team (Maintenance Manager and one Maintenance Technician)
  • Perform hands-on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs on production and packaging equipment
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive maintenance (PM) programs and procedures
  • Monitor equipment performance, analyze downtime, and drive root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify issues before failure
  • Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation within the CMMS
  • Manage maintenance parts, tools, and supplies inventory; place orders as needed
  • Coordinate and manage outside contractors and service providers when required
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with all safety, health, and environmental policies
  • Provide maintenance support to additional Everlast Roofing facilities as needed; periodic travel (including unplanned) may be required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
