About The Position

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is seeking a skilled and hands-on Maintenance Manager to join our team at the Courtyard by Marriott at Kennedy in Titusville, Florida. In this role, you will lead all aspects of building maintenance and facility operations, ensuring the property is maintained to the highest standards while fostering a safe, efficient, and well-run environment for both guests and team members. You will oversee and support a team of maintenance professionals, managing daily operations with a focus on preventative maintenance and responsive service. A strong background in hotel maintenance is essential, along with the ability to balance priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. This role demands strong technical expertise in air conditioning and refrigeration systems, along with oversight of elevator maintenance in partnership with external vendors—both critical to the hotel’s daily operations. You will manage equipment warranties by proactively tracking expiration dates and coordinating timely repairs or replacements to minimize downtime and maintain a seamless guest experience. Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of fire safety, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
  • 2-3 years of experience managing a team required
  • Experience with machinery, metalworking, landscaping, and locksmith duties
  • Must have a general knowledge of the use of simple equipment and tools used in building trades
  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Strong background in hotel maintenance
  • Technical expertise in air conditioning and refrigeration systems

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operation of all electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, services, and equipment
  • Work directly with outside contractors conducting on-site projects
  • Manage outside contracts (landscaping, pool maintenance, fire systems, etc)
  • Ensure full coverage of the engineering team's weekly schedule
  • Perform carpentry, painting, and other maintenance needs
  • Train team members on department policies and procedures to ensure a safe, effective work environment
  • Ensure all paperwork, work orders, reports, and logs are completed and maintained
  • Participate in fire prevention and other safety programs
  • May occasionally need to drive to complete tasks
