About The Position

The Maintenance Manager will uphold a work environment with safety as a top priority, enforcing all health and safety rules and regulations according to state/federal laws and company protocol. This role will oversee, manage, document, and direct all maintenance procedures and operations, including managing capital projects and equipment obsolescence. The manager will ensure all facility regulatory standards and inspections are up-to-date, assess current maintenance work processes to optimize efficiency and reliability, and implement improvement plans. Utilizing data analysis to prepare for and prevent future breakdowns is key, as is ensuring all machinery is up to working standards through quality checks and measures to minimize breakdowns and repairs. The role involves troubleshooting problem areas, creating recovery plans for equipment breakdowns, overseeing repairs and spare part stockroom, training new employees, performing employee evaluations, and recording daily progress/error reports. Maintaining vendor relationships, requisitioning new materials, coordinating outside contractors, and adhering to maintenance budgets are also crucial responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 5+ years relevant experience in maintenance and project management.
• Extensive knowledge in a variety of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Previous managerial experience highly preferred.
• Experience managing multiple vendors and employees.
• Ability to communicate findings and resolutions clearly and effectively to management and employees.
• Ability to effectively and efficiently own both administrative and engineering responsibilities.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite) and analytical skills to support understanding of data analysis software.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must have own transportation or ability to reliability get to work.
• Must be able to legally work in the United States.

• Experience with sheet metal fabrication equipment preferred.

• Create and adhere to maintenance budgets.
