Direct supervision/management of all maintenance personnel, including hourly employees. The role involves assisting maintenance personnel with problem-solving and new projects, making joint decisions with senior management on equipment downtime, and analyzing equipment downtime to improve performance and reduce costs. This position is responsible for estimating, scheduling, and executing preventative maintenance programs, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating modifications to equipment. The Maintenance Manager will also source parts, participate in the implementation of new technologies, coordinate training for maintenance personnel, conduct performance appraisals, and prepare and manage the departmental operating budget. The role requires a focus on cost reduction, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, reviewing accident reports, establishing procedures to improve manufacturing efficiencies, and advising management on potential problems and solutions. The Maintenance Manager will also assist in developing job descriptions, conducting interviews, and handling customer concerns. Adherence to company safety rules, departmental procedures, ISO14001, IATF16949 standards, and Kaizen principles is expected.
