About The Position

The Maintenance Manager actively supervises employees in the everyday coordination, execution, and planning of maintenance efforts, including 24/7 maintenance coverage. This role reports to the Site Manager and provides technical expertise regarding plant equipment and facilities. The position involves initiating and maintaining a cost-effective preventive maintenance program, implementing quality improvement and cost reduction ideas, and working with vendors and subcontractors. The manager will also manage machine reliability initiatives, maintain adequate inventories of spare parts, and purchase necessary materials. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting, problem-solving, making data-driven decisions, identifying and addressing safety concerns, planning and scheduling maintenance work orders, and maintaining positive working relationships with plant personnel. Good housekeeping practices and continuous positive communication are essential. The role also includes participation in safety and environmental audits.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated personnel supervisory skills.
  • Five + year’s maintenance and leadership experience in a manufacturing plant.
  • Five years’ experience in the corrugated box industry with heavy experience in electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Actively supervises employees in the everyday coordination, execution and planning of maintenance efforts, including a 24/7 maintenance coverage
  • Report to Site Manager any information that may impede the operation of the plant as soon as it becomes known, while providing technical expertise regarding plant equipment and facilities.
  • Initiate and/or maintain a cost-effective preventive maintenance program
  • Implement quality improvement and cost reduction ideas.
  • Contact and work with vendors and subcontractors to achieve desired results.
  • Manage machine reliability initiatives
  • Maintains adequate inventories of spare parts
  • Purchase materials, parts, and supplies as required.
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Make data driven decisions
  • Identify areas where safety issues could arise and take measures to proactively address the concerns.
  • Plans, schedules and monitors the timely completion of maintenance work orders.
