About The Position

The Maintenance Manager at the Arlington Facility is responsible for overseeing the preventive maintenance, repairs, and system improvement of all production machinery and the facility itself. This role ensures minimal downtime for equipment, compliance with safety and quality standards (OSHA, ISO, 21CFR), and supports continuous improvement initiatives. The manager also trains new employees, supports the safety committee, and performs duties consistent with company values.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ facility maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ hands on production machine maintenance experience.
  • Excellent understanding of predictive and preventative maintenance processes.
  • Mechanical skills needed to perform maintenance.
  • Proven experience and ability in mechanical, electrical and electronic maintenance troubleshooting techniques.
  • Able to demonstrate working knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles/concepts.
  • Able to read/comprehend instructions given through electronic/mechanical instruction books, including electric, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams.
  • Experience implementing or maintaining equipment and facilities based on ISO9001 or 13485.
  • Fluently speak, read, and write English.
  • Skilled in time management.
  • Skilled in multi-tasking.
  • Good administrative skills and ability to proofread for accuracy and spelling.
  • Demonstrated customer problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to learn and perform primary functions of positions within department.
  • Ability to manage stress.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job including walking, bending, pushing, pulling, sitting for extended periods at a desk using a computer, phone and headset, and occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 45 pounds.
  • Position spends approximately 100% of time moving about the production area including walking, standing, sitting, squatting, reaching, twisting, and turning.
  • Vision and hearing must be within or correctable to within normal range.
  • Must work from the Arlington office and be able to work on time on a regular basis during regular business hours.
  • Must be available for evening/weekend work as needed.

  • 2- 4 Year Engineering or Technical degree preferred
  • Maintenance and Reliability Certifications highly desired such as CMRP, CRM, CMRT, CRE

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the preventive maintenance, repairs, and system improvement of all production machinery.
  • Creates and revises preventive maintenance schedules for machinery.
  • Performs daily, weekly, and monthly inspections on production equipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment.
  • Coordinates and oversees repairs requiring outside technicians.
  • Ensures minimal downtime for production equipment.
  • Ensures all equipment is OSHA compliant.
  • Documents adjustments and maintenance activities.
  • Oversees the installation of new equipment.
  • Identifies, plans, and implements process improvement opportunities for machinery.
  • Adjusts machines to maintain productivity and meet validation specifications.
  • Ensures technicians maintain spare parts, workbench, and tool carts.
  • Oversees the preventive maintenance, repairs, and system improvement of the facility.
  • Manages waste disposal and documentation.
  • Performs inspections on facility equipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on facility equipment.
  • Ensures facility is OSHA and ISO compliant.
  • Maintains familiarity with quality management system documentation for ISO13485 and 21CFR requirements.
  • Leads and supports continuous improvement projects.
  • Supports new employees on machine and facility maintenance training.
  • Supports the safety committee.
  • Performs in a manner consistent with company Core Values and Purpose.
