About The Position

This role is responsible for actively supervising employees in the everyday coordination, execution, and planning of maintenance efforts, including 24/7 maintenance coverage. The Maintenance Manager will report to the Site Manager, providing technical expertise regarding plant equipment and facilities, and informing the Site Manager of any information that may impede plant operations. The position involves initiating and/or maintaining a cost-effective preventive maintenance program, implementing quality improvement and cost reduction ideas, and managing machine reliability initiatives. This role also requires managing inventories of spare parts, purchasing necessary materials, troubleshooting and solving problems, making data-driven decisions, and identifying and addressing potential safety issues. Additionally, the Maintenance Manager will plan, schedule, and monitor the timely completion of maintenance work orders, maintain good working relationships with plant management and staff, ensure good housekeeping practices, and communicate positively. Participation in safety and environmental audits is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

Demonstrated personnel supervisory skills.
Five + year’s maintenance and leadership experience in a manufacturing plant.
Five years’ experience in the corrugated box industry with heavy experience in electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity preferred.

Nice To Haves

College and/or related technical courses preferred.
Five years’ experience in the corrugated box industry with heavy experience in electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity preferred.

Responsibilities

Actively supervises employees in the everyday coordination, execution and planning of maintenance efforts, including a 24/7 maintenance coverage
Report to Site Manager any information that may impede the operation of the plant as soon as it becomes known, while providing technical expertise regarding plant equipment and facilities.
Initiate and/or maintain a cost-effective preventive maintenance program and Implement quality improvement and cost reduction ideas.
Contact and work with vendors and subcontractors to achieve desired results.
Manage machine reliability initiatives
Maintains adequate inventories of spare parts and Purchase materials, parts, and supplies as required.
Troubleshoot and solve problems.
Make data driven decisions
Identify areas where safety issues could arise and take measures to proactively address the concerns.
Plans, schedules and monitors the timely completion of maintenance work orders.
Maintain a good working relationship with the plant management, supervisory staff and hourly employees.
Maintain good housekeeping practices.
Continually communicate in a positive manner.
Participate in weekly, monthly, semiannual and annual safety and environmental audits.
