About The Position

Responsible for overseeing facility operations, maintenance, and equipment reliability to support safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing. Manages building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and grounds), provides technical leadership for mechanical, electrical, electronic, and PLC systems, and oversees planning, scheduling, purchasing, contractors, staff supervision, and employee development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/manufacturing or related discipline.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in various manufacturing disciplines (Proven injection molding experience)
  • Four years of leadership/supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication, exemplary coaching ability team and employee/customer relations skills with all levels.
  • Strong computer skills (SAP preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Develops long and short-range plans to assure the manufacturing, maintenance and facilities are aligned with Division/Corporate core value strategies using lean principles as the basis for deployment of process.
  • Establishes and manages a reliability engineering framework including CMMS optimization, spare parts strategy, critical asset management, condition monitoring, failure mode analysis (FMEA), and continuous improvement initiatives to support safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
  • Leads equipment reliability strategy across injection molding presses and auxiliary systems (robots, dryers, chillers, temperature controllers, material handling systems, compressors, and cooling systems) by establishing MTBF and MTTR targets.
  • Responsible for the development of improved methods, layouts, equipment, techniques and processes to maintain and improve the competitive nature of the manufacturing area.
  • Responsible for preventive maintenance routines and works with the operations teams to identify operator responsibilities within the facility.
  • Maintains the maintenance software system that provides efficient access to information for the employees and service providers to use (i.e., managing work orders, scheduling maintenance, reporting metrics).
  • Support the development and implementation of the capital plan to provide adequate capacity, aggressive quality improvement, and strong cost and asset control.
  • Monitor safety, energy, hygiene, fire protection, environmental and security programs and assure production area is in compliance with all local, state and federal laws.
  • Responsible for implementing, auditing and administering ISO policies and processes in manufacturing.
