About The Position

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring the upkeep of warehouse equipment such as material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, air compressors, ammonia refrigeration equipment, and general building repairs. This role also involves ensuring associate compliance with state and federal regulations, including OSHA, Hazardous Waste, NFPA, Storm Water, and DOT. The manager will drive the business plan for their area of responsibility to achieve facility goals in production, quality, and safety, and implement operational improvements. They will forecast and manage staffing, workload, and performance, and oversee assigned financial aspects by monitoring expenses against budget and asset utilization. Additionally, the Maintenance Manager will supervise and develop associates and leaders, foster a culture of belonging, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent technical certification (e.g., Maintenance, Controls, Electrical) and 1 year of experience in an operations, distribution, logistics, or retail environment with responsibilities including: supervising and developing managers/supervisors, managing workload across multiple departments, participating in hiring and promotions.
  • OR at least 3 years of experience in a maintenance or related technical environment with the same leadership and staffing responsibilities listed above.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Drive and implement the business plan for area of responsibility to achieve facility goals (production, quality, safety) and implement operational improvements.
  • Forecast and follow up on staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands.
  • Manage assigned financial aspects by monitoring and tracking expenses compared to budget and monitoring asset utilization.
  • Monitor and ensure area of responsibility's compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, procedures, and directives.
  • Supervise and manage associates and leaders in area of responsibility by giving direction, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and identifying training and development needs.
  • Oversees maintenance department daily operations by monitoring and driving department performance related to maintaining warehouse equipment (material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, air compressors, ammonia refrigeration equipment, general building repairs).
  • Monitor and ensure associate compliance with state and federal regulations (OSHA, Hazardous Waste, NFPA, Storm Water, DOT) relating to maintenance operations.
  • Oversee and direct financial aspects as assigned by monitoring and tracking expenses and capital expenditures compared to budget, monitoring asset utilization, and preparing/reviewing/analyzing business reports.
