About The Position

The Episcopal Academy has an immediate opening for a full-time Maintenance Manager. This role is responsible for supervising a staff of four employees and will oversee all installation, repair, and upkeep operations across our facilities. The Maintenance Manager will oversee the daily maintenance, repair, and upkeep of campus facilities, supervise, train, and support a team of four maintenance employees, and manage preventive maintenance, work orders, budgeting, reporting, and scheduling. They will also develop and implement procedures for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, coordinate repair and installation work, and oversee outside contractors and vendors. The role involves inspecting facilities regularly, identifying issues, and resolving problems promptly, monitoring inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling maintenance-related expenses. Additionally, the Maintenance Manager will support campus operations through snow removal, event setup, and event security as needed, and ensure compliance with departmental policies, safety regulations, and operational standards.

Requirements

  • Experience in facilities or maintenance management, ideally in a leadership role.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and safety systems.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to supervise staff and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to track work, report on activity, and make sound decisions.
  • Experience with SchoolDude or another CMMS, plus Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Commitment to staying current with best practices in facilities management.
  • Vocational degree or a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license.
