About The Position

The Client, Maintenance, and Engineering (RME) team is seeking talented and motivated Maintenance Managers to lead our facilities maintenance efforts. As a Maintenance Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our facilities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
5+ years of experience in the distribution or manufacturing field, with equivalent experience in mechanical or electrical fields.
Expertise in automated conveyor systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, blueprint reading, CMMS programs, preventive maintenance procedures, and industrial controls.
Strong ability to develop and maintain partnerships and communicate effectively with Safety, Operations, Engineering, Senior Management, peers, contractors, and vendors.
Ability to multitask and prioritize different projects effectively.
Six Sigma Certification and understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Ability to travel to various sites as needed.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of facilities associates and potentially supervise Area Maintenance Managers to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with the Operations team in a customer-focused manner and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
Oversee multiple projects and daily activities, ensuring deadlines are met and departmental goals are achieved.
Collaborate with the Safety department to implement and audit safety programs, ensuring compliance with all safety procedures.
Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs and foster strong relationships with Operations leadership.
Facilitate technical and safety training and support the professional development of Maintenance technicians.
Develop Maintenance department business plans and guide their successful implementation, working with the Finance team to set and track budgets.
Participate in efficiency improvement activities, such as Kaizen events, to drive continuous improvement at the site and network levels.
Develop capital spending plans, facilitate cross-functional project planning, and perform cost analysis.
Promote excellent housekeeping and participate in weekly network Maintenance calls and Maintenance Manager conferences.
Provide feedback and performance appraisals to associates, including discipline and termination when necessary.
