About The Position

To establish maintenance workload schedule and priorities and direct resources accordingly daily to ensure internal requirements are met. To prevent unanticipated equipment down time by employing a process-based, effective preventive maintenance program. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be asssigned. Lead the Maintenance activities to ensure that maintenance needs are addressed in a timely manner across Midsouth BU’s. Ensure that preventive maintenance schedule is implemented, effective, and adhered to. Perform frequent internal audits on the preventive maintenance process to ensure adequacy and adherence to requirements. Performs maintenance activities on equipment and facilities including diagnostics, repairs and preventive maintenance. Use data related to the maintenance process to effectively manage business expectations and communicate to internal customers, including upcoming planned machine downtime. Establish and maintain replacement parts inventory and ordering process to reduce machine downtime when parts fail. Ensure company grounds are maintained. Coordinate directly with sub-contractors to resolve maintenance-related issues, when applicable. Identify the need for processes and implement them as appropriate. Enforce compliance to relevant internal procedures throughout the Maintenance group. Participate in customer and regulatory audits, as required. Lead safety activities including safety committee meetings and daily Gemba walk.

Requirements

  • Thorough and working knowledge and understanding of relevant equipment maintenance requirements
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate extremely well across all levels and departments of a business
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with high degree of accountability
  • High School Degree (GED)
  • Work experience in industrial or in commercial work environment
  • At least five years of work experience involving maintenance of manufacturing equipment, including Swiss lathes and CNC mills
  • At least three years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
