About The Position

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all production equipment, facility systems, grounds, and maintenance personnel. This position develops and leads preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs that maximize equipment uptime, improve productivity, reduce downtime, and support the Company's aerospace and defense manufacturing objectives. The Maintenance Manager oversees maintenance employees, contractors, vendors, facility projects, environmental compliance activities, and capital equipment maintenance plans, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, Florida DEP, AS9100D, ISO 9001, ITAR, and Company safety standards.

  • Overseeing maintenance of buildings, grounds, parking areas, lighting systems, fencing, and facility signage
  • Coordinating janitorial, landscaping, pest control, and contractor services
  • Ensuring facility systems remain safe, clean, and operational
  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, Florida DEP, RCRA, HAZWOPER, and all applicable environmental regulations
  • Supporting emergency preparedness activities
  • Ensuring compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, electrical safety, and other safety programs
  • Maintaining required environmental permits, inspections, reporting, and documentation
  • Ensuring proper handling, storage, labeling, and disposal of hazardous materials and wastes
  • Developing and managing the annual maintenance budget
  • Controlling maintenance expenditures
  • Obtaining vendor quotations and negotiating maintenance service agreements
  • Approving maintenance purchases and monitoring spare parts inventory levels
  • Implementing maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
  • Establishing and monitoring departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Supporting Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Leading efforts to transition maintenance activities
  • Performing maintenance technician duties as necessary
  • Supporting special projects and facility improvement initiatives
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise maintenance personnel and outside contractors.

  • Develop, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for CNC machines, production equipment, HVAC systems, compressors, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure.
  • Monitor equipment performance and downtime trends.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring failures.
  • Maintain equipment maintenance records, repair histories, and asset documentation.
  • Coordinate equipment installations, relocations, upgrades, and decommissioning projects.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of forklifts, company vehicles, generators, and support equipment.
  • Oversee maintenance of buildings, grounds, parking areas, lighting systems, fencing, and facility signage.
