About The Position

Conlan Tire, a premier Continental Life Cycle dealer and an industry leader in commercial tire service and retread manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Facility Maintenance Manager. This role is responsible for managing all preventative and routine maintenance for the company's equipment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for their work and a customer-focused approach.

Requirements

• Multi-skilled industrial equipment repair in an automotive environment of at least 8-10 years preferred.
• 5+ years supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience establishing and enforcing preventative maintenance programs.
• Trouble shooting equipment failures.
• Capability to review and understand schematics.
• Strong decision making ability and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Effective listener and open to the ideas of others, an instrument for change.
• Maintain strict confidentiality including, but not limited to, managing confidentiality of any proprietary business-related information.
• Must be able to lift 70lbs.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and climb ladders for most of a shift.
• Strong understanding and support of continuous improvement.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic design and repair.
• Demonstrated experience in mechanical, electrical and industrial fabrication.
• Customer oriented and results driven.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with MS Office products desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on management of installation, preventive maintenance, and repair/improvement of plant equipment.
• Use Lockout/Tag out procedures to ensure safe repair/maintenance on machines/equipment.
• Maintain and continuously improve the use of the preventive maintenance program.
• Read and interpret schematics/equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
• Assure all safety regulations are followed and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Research, design, and implement new technology to improve equipment performance and quality to the customer.
• Identification of failed components and ordering replacement parts.
