About The Position

Champion Home Builders is looking for a Maintenance Manager for our Dresden, TN plant. The Maintenance Manager monitors and tracks the usage and repair of tools and equipment, orders new equipment or repair work as needed. This role directly supervises employees in the Maintenance Department and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3+ years relevant experience in maintenance
• Extensive knowledge in a variety of mechanical systems
• Makes safety a priority at all times

Nice To Haves

• Previous managerial experience highly preferred
• Experience managing multiple vendors
• Can effectively and efficiently handle both administrative and mechanical responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Organize and document all required maintenance records for cranes, hoists, forklifts, tractors and fleet vehicles.
• Negotiates with vendors for new tool orders and repairs for equipment in the plant.
• Monitor inventory of all tools and equipment to prevent theft and loss.
• Investigate abuse and excessive damage to tools and equipment to control costs to facility.
• Manage log of tools assigned to each employee to prevent loss.
