About The Position

A Maintenance Technician will support the reliability and performance of all facility systems and production machinery. This role plays a key part in preventive maintenance (PM) execution, ensuring timely completion of scheduled activities and supporting operational teams in maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing operations. The position demands a self-starting individual capable of working independently on technical/operational projects that involve a broad range of equipment, materials, and procedural issues specific to a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Two-year technical degree in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical sciences and 5+ years of industrial experience (preferred)
  • Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good project management and maintenance engineering knowledge
  • Proficient computer skills and experience in using MS Office products such as Word and Excel
  • Maintenance part sourcing experience preferred
  • Could regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to maintain upright and/or standing position for majority of an 8-hour shift.
  • Often walks while performing job duties.
  • Often carries, pushes or pulls up to 35 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, climb and use both hands to perform job duties.
  • Operate hoist.
  • Possess ability for rapid mental/muscular coordination simultaneously required for machine operation.
  • Ability to maintain 3 points of contact for climbing stairs, ladders, and mounting/dismounting powered industrial trucks.
  • Near/far/depth perception visual requirements required for machinery with moving parts.

Responsibilities

  • Support and oversee preventive maintenance activities across all facility systems and machinery.
  • Ensure team adherence to PM schedules and verify timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve PM procedures and equipment reliability.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions using diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications.
  • Apply knowledge of AC drives, DC drives, PLC ladder logic, and electro mechanical control systems to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Perform root-cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
  • Maintain accurate inventories of equipment, parts, and supplies using computerized maintenance management system.
  • Identify and procure parts from OEM and other sources.
  • Cross reference and find part equivalence for electrical and mechanical components as needed.
  • Monitor stock levels, anticipate needs, and initiate orders to prevent downtime.
  • Expedite orders when necessary and verify receipt of materials.
  • Assist in equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in accordance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and safety teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
