About The Position

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a motivated Preventative Maintenance (PM) / Lube Technician based out of our Farmingdale, NJ shop to support the fleet maintenance operations in our East Region. This role is responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance services, inspections, lubrication, and light repairs on a diverse fleet of heavy equipment, paving equipment, on-road trucks, trailers, asphalt plant equipment, and support vehicles. The successful candidate will work independently in a company lube truck while supporting shop and field operations.

Requirements

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, for an extended period
  • The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Experience servicing construction equipment, paving equipment, trucks, agricultural equipment, or similar machinery preferred
  • CDL preferred but not required
  • Experience with preventative maintenance on diesel-powered equipment preferred
  • Construction, quarry, asphalt, paving, or heavy equipment industry experience preferred
  • Basic hydraulic and electrical knowledge preferred
  • Familiarity with maintenance software and inspection documentation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Actively promote safety
  • Perform preventative maintenance services on heavy equipment, paving equipment, trucks, trailers, and support vehicles
  • Perform oil changes, filter replacements, fluid services, and lubrication
  • Conduct equipment inspections and report deficiencies to maintenance management
  • Perform minor repairs including (but not limited to) lights, batteries, hoses, belts, and basic electrical repairs
  • Complete maintenance documentation and service records accurately
  • Maintain lube truck inventory and cleanliness
  • Assist mechanics with repairs and field service work as needed
  • Respond to service calls for basic maintenance-related issues
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned
