About The Position

Vishay Spectrol is seeking applicants for a Maintenance & Logistics Supervisor. This role involves planning, organizing, and executing preventive and corrective maintenance for production, inspection, test, and support equipment. The supervisor will monitor equipment availability, reliability, and performance to support manufacturing schedules, diagnose malfunctions, and coordinate repairs. They will also supervise daily logistics operations, including receiving, internal material movement, storage, and shipping, ensuring materials and components are available for production. The position requires overseeing inventory accuracy, coordinating logistics priorities, and ensuring compliance with procedures, safety, and quality standards. The role also involves determining maintenance and logistics priorities, coordinating work schedules, drafting technical specifications, and supporting budget planning. Additionally, the supervisor will provide hands-on supervision and technical support to maintenance and logistics personnel, support training, and lead problem-solving activities. Continuous improvement and compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and ISO requirements are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance, logistics, or manufacturing support, preferably within electronics manufacturing.
  • Experience supervising or coordinating logistics or material handling activities.
  • Hands‑on experience with preventive and corrective maintenance of production equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues.
  • Experience working with CMMS and inventory systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience supervising staff or contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for production, inspection, test, and support equipment.
  • Monitor equipment availability, reliability, and performance to support manufacturing schedules.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs, either internally or through approved external vendors.
  • Ensure all equipment is safe and operational after maintenance activities.
  • Support installation, relocation, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment as needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS, including work performed, parts used, and downtime tracking.
  • Supervise daily logistics operations, including receiving, internal material movement, storage, and shipping.
  • Ensure materials, components, and finished goods are available to support production schedules.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy, location control, and stock rotation.
  • Coordinate logistics priorities with Production Planning, Purchasing, and Operations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards related to material handling.
  • Monitor logistics KPIs (inventory accuracy, on‑time delivery, material shortages) and report issues to management.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to material flow, layout, and logistics efficiency.
  • Determine maintenance and logistics priorities based on production needs, safety, and risk.
  • Coordinate work schedules for internal resources and external service providers.
  • Draft and review technical specifications for maintenance work and service contracts.
  • Support budget planning for maintenance, logistics activities, and minor capital expenditures.
  • Provide hands‑on supervision and technical support to maintenance and logistics personnel.
  • Support training and skill development to improve team versatility and cross‑function coverage.
  • Participate in daily production, escalation, and coordination meetings.
  • Lead or support problem‑solving activities related to equipment failures, material shortages, and recurring issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, and logistics performance.
  • Propose and support implementation of improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and ISO requirements.
  • Support audit preparation and corrective actions related to maintenance and logistics activities.
