About The Position

The Locksmith is responsible for maintaining the College's standards. Your job duties will include installing, repairing, adjusting, and replacing locks and other door closures around various buildings and facilities; making duplicate keys when required; and managing the supply of keys for all staff, faculty, and contractors. Documenting when you issue keys and noting when they are returned.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including working on ladders, lifting over 50lbs repetitively, twisting, bending, and working in varying environmental conditions.
  • Competence in following both oral and written instructions.
  • Proficient in the use of a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license and insurance coverage as required by the College's insurance carrier.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in an academic or state organization.
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience. ie Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Completed an accredited locksmith program and is proficient in the techniques of the trade.
  • Experience in Keystone and or SimpleK key systems.
  • Knowledge OSHA safety standards.
