About The Position

The Maintenance Apprentice will be responsible for making basic repairs and maintenance to existing equipment. This role involves participating in safety programs, repairing and installing machinery, performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting equipment problems. The apprentice will also train to perform industrial mechanical repairs and gain knowledge about hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, while working as part of the maintenance team. Additionally, building maintenance may be required.

Requirements

Minimal maintenance experience
Basic mechanical knowledge
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong time management skills
Ability to listen, understand, follow directions, and learn the mechanical systems in the distribution center
Ability to develop professional relationships with coworkers
Ability to follow the company policies and procedures
Ability to meet or exceed production standards
Ability to handle equipment safely
Ability to problem solve
High School Diploma or equivalent
Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Participates in the RTG Safety Programs and proactively upholds the RTG Safety Culture
Repair and install all types of machinery and mechanical equipment while observing all applicable RTG Safety Policies and Procedures
Perform equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, inspections and troubleshooting of equipment problems in an accurate and efficient manner
Perform repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment as assigned
Performing building maintenance as required
Train to perform industrial mechanical repairs and gain knowledge about hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
Work as a part of the maintenance team
Performs other duties as assigned
