About The Position

Legacy on Main I, a 78-unit affordable housing community in Mesa, Arizona, is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Maintenance Lead. This role involves overseeing daily maintenance operations for Legacy on Main I and providing backup support for the adjacent Legacy on Main II community. The ideal candidate takes pride in ownership, delivers exceptional customer service, and can work independently.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of apartment maintenance experience.
Strong HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, drywall, and general maintenance skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and time management skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

Previous Maintenance Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
EPA Certification preferred.
Experience with affordable housing (HUD and/or LIHTC) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform and oversee all aspects of apartment maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
Complete resident work orders promptly and professionally.
Prepare apartment homes for new residents, including turns and inspections.
Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, drywall, painting, flooring, doors, and locks.
Maintain the property's curb appeal and common areas.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors when necessary.
Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company policies.
Participate in the on-call emergency maintenance rotation.
Assist Legacy on Main II when additional maintenance support is needed.
