About The Position

Bell & Evans is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Lead to help keep our production operation running safely, efficiently, and reliably. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, solving problems, and helping a maintenance team succeed. As a Maintenance Lead, you will take an active role in equipment repairs, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and daily maintenance operations. You will help ensure work is completed safely and efficiently while supporting the Maintenance Supervisor and maintenance team.

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
The ability to diagnose problems and determine effective solutions
Experience working with industrial machinery and production equipment
The ability to work independently while also supporting and leading a maintenance team
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
A commitment to safety, quality, and reliability
The willingness to continue developing technical skills and knowledge
The ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and team members
Ability to read and understand technical instructions, safety procedures, and equipment documentation
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Ability to participate in technical training and specialized maintenance programs

Nice To Haves

Previous maintenance experience or technical training preferred
Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or production equipment is a plus

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot mechanical equipment by observing operation and identifying the source of problems
Diagnose equipment issues and determine the appropriate repair
Disassemble equipment to access defective or damaged components
Inspect parts for wear, damage, and other imperfections
Repair or replace defective parts and components
Adjust equipment and control instruments to ensure proper operation
Install new equipment and replacement components as needed
Perform preventative maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning of equipment
Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper performance
Repair and maintain electrical equipment
Operate machine shop equipment such as lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other tools to fabricate or repair parts
Assist with ordering parts, equipment, and supplies needed for maintenance repairs
Help prioritize maintenance work and communicate equipment concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor
Support maintenance team members with troubleshooting, repairs, and daily work assignments
Promote safe work practices and immediately address safety or quality concerns
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work environment
Attend technical training, vocational programs, and specialized training to stay current with company technology and equipment
Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor
