Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency and 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree and 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Certification specializing in Healthcare Facilities preferred.
  • Contractor specializing in Plumber preferred.
  • Engineer preferred.
  • Journeyperson preferred.
  • Journeyperson specializing in Plumber preferred.
  • Maintenance Professional preferred.
  • Plumber specializing in Journeyman preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Life Safety Code Knowledge strongly preferred
  • CMS Regulations knowledge strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily maintenance and facility operations within a skilled nursing environment, ensuring compliance with CMS regulations, Life Safety Code standards, OSHA requirements, and state/federal healthcare guidelines.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, emergency systems, generators, and building equipment to support regulatory readiness and resident safety.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance staff while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, customer service, and operational excellence within the nursing home setting.
  • Partner with leadership during surveys, audits, and inspections while maintaining documentation, vendor coordination, and facility standards to ensure ongoing compliance and uninterrupted facility operations.
