About The Position

The City of Fair Oaks Ranch is hiring a full-time, onsite Maintenance Lead – Drainage/Stormwater to lead crews inspecting, maintaining, and repairing the City's storm drainage systems. The role includes hands-on equipment operation, erosion control, contractor coordination, project prioritization for the Annual Drainage Maintenance Program, and maintaining drainage records and maps. The Maintenance Lead collaborates with Engineering and Procurement, trains staff in safe work practices, and assists with after-hours flooding and drainage emergencies. Starting pay is $48,468 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid Texas Class C Driver's License.
At least two years of relevant experience.
FEMA training, or the ability to obtain it within one year of hire.
Knowledge of drainage maintenance, construction methods, heavy equipment operation, and safety practices.
Ability to maintain and repair stormwater infrastructure; apply safe construction, traffic control, and erosion control practices; lead and train crews; read grades and elevations and use a transit; use ArcGIS and work order systems; and plan maintenance work and coordinate with contractors and City departments.
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
