SUMMARY The primary purpose of this position is to perform unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repair tasks on buildings, apartments, grounds and equipment. These task include, but are not limited to, cleaning apartments, cleaning common areas, mowing lawns, pruning shrubs and trees, snow removal, lifting heavy objects, the use of hand and basic power tools, such as, but not limited to lawnmowers, snow blowers, variable speed drills, electric drill snakes (1/4 inch cables),toilet augers, plungers, two wheeled hand trucks, etc. Will assist mechanic aides, mechanics, lead mechanics, and skilled trades personnel in a wide variety of tasks. All activities must support the Cambridge Housing Authority’s (“CHA” or “Authority”) strategic goals and objectives and produce results that accomplish the goals of the Operations department.
