About The Position
The primary function is to maintain cleanliness of the basement. This role involves cleaning the basement floor, dumping cullet, cleaning floor trenches and drains, cleaning the roof, and assisting with material management around elevators and batch bins. The position also requires assisting other laborers to unjam cullet chutes.
Requirements
- Must have excellent attendance
- Must have a good work performance history
- Ability to work in hot & cold environment
- Ability to meet physical demands of position
- Able to operate a forklift.
- Bending/crouching on a daily basis
- Able to lift or maneuver up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work overtime, often on short notice
- Able to work at elevated heights, on ladders, scaffolds and in pits.
Responsibilities
- Clean the basement floor using dingo, shovels, brooms and other equipment.
- Dump cullet using a forklift or dingo.
- Clean out floor trench and drains in the basement to ensure that waste water can be eliminated without interruption.
- Clean on top of the roof.
- Clean batch and other materials around elevators and batch bins.
- Assist Hot End Laborers to unjam cullet chutes.
