About The Position

This position will assist journeymen-level mechanical maintenance technicians in routine maintenance work as well as performing many duties independently. Our world class Global Manufacturing Training program provides paid hands-on experiences and classroom instruction to prepare you for your next promotion

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Minimum high school graduate, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Eligible for employment in the US
  • At least three (3) years of work experience as a Millwright
  • Must be willing to meet the following requirements: Work in industrial conditions (may be warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery, elevated working surfaces, and confined spaces (with proper safety training and safety protection)
  • Undergo technical online testing, interview, and a formal hands-on assessment of skills
  • Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment
  • Undergo a job-related health assessment as a condition of employment
  • Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment
  • Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule
  • Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification
  • Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis
  • Wear required safety equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or certification(s) in the Millwright discipline
  • A minimum of 3 years work experience in the Millwright discipline
  • Relevant work experience in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install machine and equipment according to lay-out plan, blueprints and other drawings
  • Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, dial indicators and laser alignment equipment
  • Install machinery, new and existing equipment
  • Repair and lubricate machine and equipment
  • Refurbish/maintain valves, pumps, gear boxes, bearings, agitators, conveyors, turbines, paper machines, lime kiln
  • Measure for bearing clearance and shaft diameters
  • Troubleshoot equipment reliability issues
  • Fabricate structural materials as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
