About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Bilingual (English/Spanish) Industrial Janitor to maintain the safety, cleanliness, and organization of our active machine shop in Montebello. This is a hands-on, high-paying role in a heavy manufacturing environment. It goes beyond standard office cleaning; you will play a critical role in daily operations by managing the cleanliness of the production floor, handling industrial spills (such as oil and coolant), and ensuring a safe, hazard-free workplace for our production team.

Requirements

Must be bilingual in English and Spanish (ability to communicate effectively with team members in both languages).
Previous experience in industrial cleaning, janitorial work, commercial cleaning, or working within a machine shop/manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
Ability to handle physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, standing, and walking for the duration of the shift.
Comfortable working around heavy machinery, industrial fluids (oil/coolant), and active shop floors.
Strong work ethic and commitment to working the required schedule, including Saturday mornings.

Responsibilities

Maintain the overall cleanliness of the machine shop floor, common areas, breakrooms, and restrooms.
Promptly and safely clean up large spills, including industrial oils, lubricants, and machine coolants, using proper safety procedures.
Sweep, mop, and utilize floor scrubbers to keep walkways clear of metal shavings, debris, and slip hazards.
Empty industrial trash and scrap bins.
Follow all shop safety rules, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and gloves.
Utilize bilingual skills to assist team members and follow safety instructions in both English and Spanish.
