Maintenance Intern
About The Position
The Maintenance Intern gains first-hand knowledge and experience in industrial maintenance by providing service to all departments, from routine maintenance to special projects. The role includes maintaining and repairing building facilities, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting and repairing machinery systems through work orders. The intern will also work with basic electrical wiring. The position is based at 1005 Commercial Drive, Owensville, Missouri, and is scheduled weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., with overtime if needed. Pay is $18–$20 per hour depending on education and experience, with a $1-per-hour increase every six months based on hours worked and performance reviews. The internship is intended for someone who may consider full-time employment with Lakeside after graduation if an opportunity is presented.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in and pursuing a degree, ideally in Industrial Engineering Technology or a similar field, at a local trade school, university, or community college.
- Have experience or training in using process controls, motor controls, and ladder logic for troubleshooting.
