About The Position

This role is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues on various industrial equipment, including presses, blenders, and systems in Molding, Lining, and Palletizing departments. The position also involves fabricating electrical and mechanical equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring all electrical systems and safety features are functioning correctly. The role requires adherence to all safety procedures and documentation of work performed. Requirements

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues on presses and blenders.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues in Lining and Palletizing.
  • Ability to perform miscellaneous electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to fabricate electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance and calibration on controllers.
  • Ability to maintain programmable logic controllers, relays, contactors, motor starters, and related equipment.
  • Ability to verify, repair, or replace e-stop and interlock functions.
  • Ability to read schematics and perform wiring/rewiring.
  • Ability to access NRC-0 and NRC-1 rated electrical panels.
  • Ability to disconnect or shut off electrical current for NRC-2 or NRC-3 rated panels.
  • Ability to update one-line drawings and verify Arc Flash and NRC ratings of panels.
  • Ability to identify Arc Flash boundaries.
  • Ability to assist with identifying LOTO requirements.
  • Ability to verify no current with approved Fluke meter.
  • Ability to perform general mechanical duties.
  • Ability to follow all safety procedures.
  • Ability to complete Work Orders and document work.
  • Familiarity with Alan Bradley system.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues on presses and blenders in Molding, including controllers, switches, heaters, detectors, pumps, safety gates, and thermocouples.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues in Lining and Palletizing, including feed eyes, elevator wiring, camera systems, strobe lights, glue sensors, and Alan Bradley systems.
  • Perform miscellaneous electrical troubleshooting, including verifying voltage, power outages, wiring/rewiring, fuses/circuit breakers, drives, encoders, sensors, motors, e-stops, and interlocks.
  • Fabricate electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibration on controllers.
  • Maintain programmable logic controllers, relays, contactors, motor starters, and related equipment.
  • Verify, repair, or replace e-stop and interlock functions on all equipment.
  • Read schematics and perform wiring/rewiring as needed.
  • Access NRC-0 and NRC-1 rated electrical panels.
  • Disconnect or shut off electrical current for NRC-2 or NRC-3 rated panels.
  • Update one-line drawings and verify Arc Flash and NRC ratings of panels.
  • Identify Arc Flash boundaries for high-risk areas.
  • Assist with identifying appropriate LOTO requirements for isolating energy sources.
  • Verify absence of current with approved Fluke meter.
  • Perform general mechanical duties as requested, including operation of basic hand tools.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including Hot Work, Confined Space, LOTO, and Electrical Safety.
  • Complete Work Orders and document work performed.
  • Promote plant goals such as Safety/Housekeeping, Quality, ISO, and GMP.
