About The Position

Join Litehouse as a Maintenance II in Danville, VA. This role is with a 100% employee-owned food manufacturing company known for its community leadership and positive work environment. As a Maintenance II, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of machinery and equipment within a manufacturing setting. Your duties will include diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on various mechanical systems, working collaboratively with a team to minimize downtime and optimize production processes. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 2+ years' experience in maintenance field OR combination training + experience.
  • Knowledge/experience troubleshooting/repairing automated equipment including PLC, Servo motor, and VFD.
  • Ability to use basic math in all units of measure, compute rate, ration, and percent.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with team members, supervisors, and production staff.
  • Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational or technical training is strongly preferred.
  • Technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting ladder logic/schematics a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions and perform repairs on machinery, including but not limited to, motors, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
  • Execute preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and longevity of equipment.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to address complex issues and support larger maintenance projects.
  • Work closely with Maintenance Manager and team members to share knowledge and improve overall maintenance processes.
  • Analyze equipment malfunctions and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Utilize technical manuals, blueprints, and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
  • Provide detailed reports on completed work and recommend improvements for future maintenance.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Collaborate with production teams to prioritize and address equipment-related concerns.
