This role involves leading complex maintenance, remodeling, and construction projects within occupied healthcare spaces. The technician will perform advanced work across multiple trades including carpentry, drywall, flooring, ceilings, doors, and finishes. Key responsibilities include interpreting construction documents, coordinating with clinical staff and facilities leadership, ensuring compliance with hospital safety standards and codes, and mentoring junior staff. The position also requires serving as a lead responder for urgent repairs, inspecting completed work, and participating in an on-call rotation for facility emergencies. A significant aspect of the role is ensuring regulatory compliance with standards from NFPA, DNV, CMS, and OSHA, and managing system maintenance for fire alarms, sprinklers, and emergency lighting. The technician will also implement Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM), design and execute drills and training, investigate safety incidents, and maintain physical safety logs for audit readiness. Professional conduct, excellent attendance, and maintaining positive working relationships are also expected.
