About The Position

Assist with basic maintenance and repairs to ensure the facility and equipment are in good working order. Learn foundational maintenance skills and support higher-level technicians. Perform duties to assist in the maintaining and repair a variety of building and plant equipment and construct facility storage, production and office work areas.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
Willingness to learn mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Strong work ethic and adherence to safety practices.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance tasks (e.g., light bulb changes, minor repairs).
Troubleshoot and assist with basic mechanical and electrical repairs.
Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
Follow preventive maintenance schedules under supervision.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Accurately document work performed.
Runs conduit and wires.
Performs other duties as necessary.
Use micrometers, calipers and like equipment, electrical measuring instruments, set up and run lathe, mill, cutting torch and arc welder.
May use a powered industrial truck and hand pallet jack.
Follow safety rules and keep the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
