This role contributes to minimizing downtime and improving operational efficiency through timely repairs and proactive maintenance practices. The position also supports general plant operations and ensures a clean, organized, and compliant work environment. Success in this role is driven by mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ years of experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or a related industrial environment
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, work orders, and safety procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Nice To Haves
- Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts
- Experience with light fabrication or welding
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs in a manufacturing setting
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in industrial environments
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure reliable operations
- Maintain facility systems and support equipment installations, moves, and light fabrication or welding activities as needed
- Monitor equipment performance to identify issues, minimize downtime, and recommend improvements
- Support plant operations through material handling, housekeeping, and operational assistance across production, warehouse, and shipping areas
- Manage maintenance supplies and spare parts usage while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment
