About The Position

This role is responsible for performing maintenance services to ensure a smooth-running operation. The position requires adherence to all company policies, safety procedures, and participation in the ALL4Zero Safety Program. Key duties include maintaining preventive maintenance schedules, performing mechanical and electrical repairs on various equipment and machinery, fabrication and welding, routine site maintenance, minor construction and plumbing repairs, and major electrical tasks including troubleshooting and wiring. The role also involves completing work orders, maintaining housekeeping, and understanding LOTO processes. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and to work any shift, is essential.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 5+ years mechanical and electrical experience
  • Experienced in PLCs
  • Strong mechanical background
  • Strong Electrical background
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Able to work at heights and possible heavy lifting
  • Can read and understand directions and goals set forth by the Production Manager or Shift Supervisor
  • Capable of wearing a respirator, hardhat, and safety glasses

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures, including the Substance Abuse policy.
  • Adhere to all safety and operational practices.
  • Participate in the ALL4Zero Safety Program.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance in accordance with a daily checklist and make adjustments to plant equipment and machinery.
  • Perform mechanical repairs on batching equipment, unloading equipment, rolling stock, and company vehicles.
  • Perform all mechanical and electrical tasks.
  • Perform fabrication and welding as needed for production and special projects.
  • Perform routine maintenance within the site (changing light bulbs, ballast, etc.).
  • Perform minor construction repairs, valve replacements, and outlet changes.
  • Perform plumbing repairs.
  • Perform major electrical tasks, including electrical troubleshooting, wiring, and electrical repairs.
  • Change a/c filters (unless too time consuming, currently outsourced).
  • Complete work orders and various other tracking devices.
  • Maintain housekeeping throughout plant areas.
  • Work effectively with teams and alone.
  • Work any shift.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Perform and understand LOTO processes and ensure optimal procedures are followed for meeting company objectives.
