About The Position
This position ensures all aspects of the maintenance mechanic functions are performed in a safety and acceptable method. Performs preventative maintenance procedures on all equipment that is assigned by the maintenance supervisors/lead hand. Assist other areas of the plant when major problems occur. This role also assists in the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, including monitoring and documenting assigned areas according to safety, food safety, and company policies.
Requirements
- Must be able to work weekends, or as needed.
- Must have strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Must be willing to work in both hot and cold environments.
- Must have some related maintenance experience.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 100lbs on occasion.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Fabrication, Slaughter, Material Handling, Rendering, E&E, B&E departments based off company needs.
Responsibilities
- Performs preventative maintenance procedures on all assigned equipment.
- Assists other areas of the plant during major problems.
- Completes all assigned tasks, scheduled and unscheduled work as directed by supervisor.
- Assists in the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
- Monitors and documents assigned areas of the maintenance department as required by safety, food safety, company policy, & procedures.
