About The Position

Maintain, operate, adjust and install industrial production/processing and facility systems in a safe and reliable manner to support the plants’ goals and objectives.

Requirements

6 months - 2 years of experience in an industrial food processing/manufacturing facility.
Good listening skills and habits are essential for this position.
Excellent ability to resolve issues and solve problems through personal interaction.
Above average verbal and written communication skills essential.
Some knowledge of Spanish.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret production data.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages.
Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, thoroughness and efficiency.
Ability to apply appropriate judgment and initiative in determining source of information, and action required for results and solutions.
Demonstrates a willingness to learn, and the ability to handle new responsibilities.

Be able to pass the Maintenance Helper Intro Test with a 65% or higher.

Responsibilities

Basic capability in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial plant equipment and systems (power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.)
Basic capability to read, understand, and utilize blue prints, schematics (electrical and pneumatic), technical manuals, and P&IDs.
Basic ability to weld (Mig, Tig, & Arc), fabricate, and machine for repairs on equipment and installation/support for new projects.
Creates work orders and accounts for part usage utilizing the CMMS.
Supports Maintenance Planner to coordinate the successful completion of planned work.
Performs and documents seam checks for production lines
As required, support on-going projects in support of plant goals.
Technical resource for the production team for the fulfillment of their on-going production targets. This includes, but is not limited to start-up support, technical training, equipment center-lining, instrumentation calibrations, preventative/predictive maintenance activities in support of reliability-based Maintenance, root cause failure analysis and other continuous improvement/lean activities.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) in a food processing facility.
Adhere to all procedures and practices associated with Food Safety, Food Security and Food Quality
