Maintenance Helper
About The Position
Assists Mechanics, Electricians, and Electromechanical personnel in performances of their duties, such as changing light bulbs, performing basic equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment (e. g record gauge readings; simple lubrication tasks). Loads and unloads supplies manually and with forklift. Performs general clean up work and snow removal, as needed. Moves items such as office furniture. Sweeps and scrubs floors may require strip and wax floors, as required. Dusts desks or equipment and cleans windows. Empties waste basket, scrap cans or scarp boxes. Carries or wheels waste containers to designated dumping or burning area. Transports scrap to proper bins. Cleans lavatories, toilets and urinals. Renews supplies of soap, paper towels, drinking cups and toilet paper. Qualified candidate does any janitorial work necessary in connection with plant operation. Exercises all safety precautions. Works in exposure areas. Performs other duties as assigned. 3rd shift role available
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
