About The Position

Mission Linen Supply is hiring an experienced Maintenance Helper for an in-plant role supporting the repair, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, including washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyor systems, and boilers. The position supports preventive maintenance, welding, boiler chemical testing and chemistry adjustments, resolution of safety concerns, and preparation of maintenance records. It requires technical knowledge of industrial equipment and the ability to work with varied mechanical and electrical systems. Training is provided in steam boiler systems, electrical and pneumatic systems, schematics, maintenance, welding, and plumbing. Requirements

High school diploma.
At least two years of maintenance engineering experience.
Specific knowledge of machinery, electricity, electronics, plumbing, welding, and boiler applications.
Experience with mechanical troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and reading repair manuals and schematics.
Ability to stand or move through the plant during the workday; perform tasks involving stooping, pulling, pushing, and working in cramped areas; and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Support routine preventive maintenance on the property to keep plant machines running smoothly.
Support morning equipment start-up and evening shutdown, including the boiler, air compressor, power, pumps, and valves.
Support regular maintenance of lint traps, shaker screen barrels, oil levels, grease fittings, and water levels.
Support completion of general and basic machinery repairs.
Identify and report major machinery repairs that need to be completed.
Support repair, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, including washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyor systems, and boilers.
Support welding, boiler chemical testing and chemistry adjustments, safety issue resolution, and preparation of maintenance records.
