About The Position
This position will report to the Supervisor and is a Full-time Regular, Non-Exempt role on the 3rd shift. Bolthouse Fresh Foods is a leader in carrot production and a proud employer of 1,600 individuals. The Maintenance Helper will assist the maintenance mechanic in troubleshooting minor adjustments and repairs of plant equipment to achieve maximum levels of quality and production while minimizing downtime. Training is "on-the-job" and the working environment is fast-paced. This vital position also works closely with the maintenance staff.
Requirements
- Forklift certification
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Good mathematical skills
- High School/GED or one year of experience in related field or combination of both education and experience
- Candidates must have a verifiable history of safe vehicle operation and meet company standards for driving eligibility. This includes maintaining a clean driving record, which will be verified through a background check
- Forklift Certification or must be able to obtain forklift certification within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities
- Alert maintenance of all breakdowns and give updates to equipment status
- Make adjustments as necessary to plant equipment to optimize quality and production
- Performs preventive maintenance and light repair
- Maintains manual or computerized records such as material inventory, preventative maintenance logs, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials
- Monitors materials and resources required to complete assignments
- Moves or transports materials from one job assignment to another
- Monitors and controls movement of material and parts on automated conveyor system
- Arranges for and participates in repair and assembly of materials or parts
- 70% of time will be spent in or near production areas
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe plant
- Performs other duties as assigned.
