Maintenance Helper Plumber
About The Position
Under close supervision, performs a wide variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in connection with the maintenance of the plating facility. Works on job duties and assignments as they relate to maintenance, repair, installing, fabricating, adjusting, troubleshooting, and any other maintenance duties as needed. May perform start-up and shut down functions on plant equipment and facilities as required. Works safely at all times in compliance with OSHA/EPA regulations. Participates in the handling, labeling, containment, and disposal of hazardous waste. Performs other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Potential splash exposure near process lines.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Detail oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Willingness to work around chemicals using appropriate safety equipment.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to alternate standing and sitting for 8 / 12 hours.
- Ability to hear.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and abide by rules.
- Ability to stoop and bend; use arms and hands.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the metal finishing industry is helpful but not required.
