About The Position

The PEM-GSE Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing periodic and reactive maintenance on production equipment and ground support equipment. This role involves demonstrating Leadec's values and business principles, working safely, and maintaining a clean and orderly workspace adhering to 5S standards. The technician will perform preventative maintenance (PM) tasks, close out corrective actions, and log work in Maximo. They will respond to emergent maintenance needs from the Production Team, identify and implement PM and safety improvements, and participate in training to enhance knowledge of customer-affected equipment. The role also includes receiving and implementing customer feedback, ensuring excellent customer service, and leading efforts in root cause analysis and problem-solving for critical equipment to minimize downtime. High-level support for breakdowns and repairs of general service production and automated manufacturing equipment is also required, along with assisting management in maintaining compliance and prioritizing maintenance work orders. The technician must be able to respond rapidly to breakdowns and correct mechanical, electrical, or programming issues associated with automated systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • 1-3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergent Maintenance needs by the Production Team
  • Identify and implement PM improvements and Safety improvements
  • Participate in training to increase knowledge about customer-affected equipment
  • Receive, respond to, and implement customer feedback, directives, opportunities for improvement, etc.
  • Ensure an excellent Leadec customer service level is provided to the customer
  • Responsible for leading efforts in root cause analysis, problem solving, and elimination of recurring issues. Priority will be placed on critical equipment, which will have the most significant impact on downtime.
  • Responsible for high-level support as needed for breakdowns and repair of general service production and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Assist management with maintaining compliance and prioritizing preventative and reactive maintenance work orders.
  • Ability to respond rapidly to breakdowns on general production equipment during scheduled shifts.
  • Correct any mechanical, electrical, or programming issues associated with the automated systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot PLC (if applicable), AC/DC Drive Systems, Robotic Systems (if applicable), HVAC Systems, Diesel Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Electrical Systems, Power Generation Systems.
  • Work from mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and ladder logic displays, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics. Ability to update as built drawings.
  • Basic carpentry skills encompass a range of abilities, including measuring, cutting, framing, using power tools, blueprint reading, and understanding joinery. These skills are essential for building, repairing, and installing various structures and fixtures.
  • Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.
  • All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.
