About The Position

The Maintenance Director is responsible for assisting and supervising the maintenance and security staff. The Maintenance Director assists with capital projects, prioritizing work orders and ensures that the building and grounds are well maintained. The Maintenance Director works closely with the residents, administrative team, outside contractors and visitors. The Maintenance Director handles resident concerns and administrative functions of the department in accordance with policies and standards of Ridgecrest Village.

Requirements

  • High School graduate required.
  • Experience working with the older population.
  • Functional literacy in English.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Be self-motivated.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Must possess patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a cheerful disposition.
  • Considerate, respectful, polite to residents and families and co-workers.
  • Genuine concern and caring for residents.
  • Must possess the mental and physical capabilities to fulfill the duties of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Hiring and orientation of staff.
  • Supervises maintenance and security staff.
  • Establishes a staffing work schedule.
  • Develops a preventative maintenance program.
  • Ensures all tests are completed per regulations.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Assures buildings and grounds are maintained.
  • Mows and trims grass on the campus grounds.
  • Landscaping duties that include planting, mulching, weeding and other outside duties.
  • Snow removal on all sidewalks, driveways, and roadways on the campus.
  • Reports and schedules needed repairs, supply and equipment needs of the facility.
  • Reports hazards.
  • Demonstrates competency in skills mandated by required education and training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
