About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. This General Mechanic positions could work any department in Processing of this beef processing facility.

Requirements

• 6 months’ experience of mechanic work in the work history section of application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program
• Candidates with 6 or more attendance points and/or any suspension in the past 12 months will not be considered
• Must be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
• Must be able to read, write, and interpret general equipment safety procedures to ensure safety
• Must be mechanically inclined

Nice To Haves

• Welding experience preferred
