About The Position

General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. You must be able to set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Position requires knowledge in areas of welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics and other maintenance related areas. Must be able to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders, fill out the daily documentation required, perform preventative maintenance routines as scheduled by Supervisor as well as confirm time into the SAP system to record daily activities and create equipment history. Must be able to read and write where required, must be able to communicate with management and co-workers as needed, must be able to process paperwork necessary to position, must be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.

Requirements

  • 6 months continuous work history with a prior employer.
  • Knowledge in welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics and other maintenance related areas.
  • Ability to learn Tyson SAP software.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Ability to communicate with management and co-workers.
  • Ability to use math for work-related computations.
  • Willing to lift, push, pull up to 70 lbs.
  • Willing to climb stairs and ladders on a daily basis.
  • Willing to work in cold environments ranging from -10 to 80 degrees.
  • Willing to work in environments tied to weather (rain, heat, cold).
  • Willing to work in wet conditions.
  • Willing to work on slippery floors.
  • Willing to work with loud noise levels requiring hearing protection.
  • Willing to work on your feet for 8 to 12 hours.
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial maintenance experience preferred.
